The young and the flustered. With the dog hot on his furry butt, a young squirrel jumped into my dog’s mouth instead of on the tree. The dog snapped her mouth shut in surprise, and it didn’t end well for the squirrel.

I wonder… if Kenny and Squirrel chase like my cats do!

One cat will be ahead of the other as they tear across the home. Over furniture, under tables, around human in the way… all at top speed! Then they will get to one end of the place. Then the cat that was behind… is now in the lead! Back and forth they will do this until one of them tires out.

Squirrels have learned not to linger in my yard. Two bigger dogs, one very capable for all his bulk.

Squirrels sometimes are not as agile as they seem. I was standing in my yard, heard a commotion in the tree, and a “whump”. A squirrel had fallen maybe 25 feet to my concrete driveway. Thought he was a goner, but after a bit, he got up and wandered away. Maybe he had been into some fermented blueberries or something.
