Our cat and dog are not high maintenance, but they will certainly let us know when they want some attention. Well, the cat is a bit high maintenance as she requires two insulin shots daily, but that only takes a minute or so.
Humans ware able to make dogs part of our family/pack because dogs want that attention and sense of belonging so we have no excuse to complain about the fact. When the cartoonists for this strip finally retire, I hope they give these puppers a happy ending with their own human pack, and all the attention they want.
