I lived down south for 3 years, shopped for Christmas Trees in shorts and a tee shirt. I missed the 4 seasons particularly fall and winter, and moved back north. If I get a chance in retirement I’ll move to the mountains and see what it is like to be snowed in for the winter.
I hate winter also. Several years ago I moved (got married) to an area that’s gets more snow than where I was living. Can’t afford to move but I’m retiring soon. It won’t be so bad if I don’t have to go out in it and not drive in it!

For a long time I’ve joked that I was born several states too far north (Ohio). I plan to remedy that soon!

Wouldn’t help. If you switch hemispheres, the same thing would happen, but six months later.
