That’s me in the emergency department waiting room puking my guts out for 8-1/2 hours waiting for my name to be called. Just so many beds and doctors to go around
Vet offices should have a treadmill. Humans can stick their noses in phones. But the ones who get tired waiting around on four paws… need something to do!
My last dog, Beagle #2, was very good at the vet. She would sit next to me until we got called into the exam room. The door there had a window in it. She would insist I hold her up to the window so she could see the waiting room. Every. Single Time. Eventually I got permission to crack the door, keep her leash on, and let her supervise that way. She would be calm and quiet about it, but wanted to watch the other dogs. My current dog, the therapy dog, she wants to greet everyone who enters the vet office while we wait in the waiting room, and in the exam room, she sometimes just falls asleep on me. Then she perks right up when the vet comes in! My vet does not like beagles in general due to their rambunctious personalities. When I got my current dog, he walked in, and my dog was sleeping on my lap. I told him I had another wild and crazy beagle for him. (None of my 3 beagles acted out at the vet.) He loves this one – he says she is just the right size to carry like a football.

That looks like the most depressing waiting room ever!

There should at least be magazines and dog treats.
