Man: Hey, Mike! Do you have a copy of "Life" around? Mike: "Life"? It went out of business, Skip. Man: It went out of business?! Mike: Yup. Folded last winter! Man: Oh, no! It can't have folded! For seven years I've been looking forward to seeing it again! I used to read "Life" every Sunday evening! Oh, well, no matter! It's about time for "The Ed Sullivan Show" anyway!
Folded isn’t quite the word. For background, Life was originally weekly. From ‘72-’78, it only published “special” issues, before becoming monthly from ’78-2000. The Ed Sullivan Show ended in 1971.
