Zonker: Joanie, before I help you with the apartment hunting, I gotta go check in with my Uncle Duke. Joanie: I didn't know you had an Uncle Duke. Zonker: Well, he's not really my uncle - he's an old family friend. He writes for "Rolling Stone" magazine. Joanie: Really? What's he like? Zonker: Quite nice, but a little strange - he's incredibly reckless with drugs. Periodically, Mom has to call the police and have him busted. You know, to cool him off. Joanie: He doesn't mind? Zonker: Heck, no! In California, that's what friends are for!
I came back here from November 14th, 2020 because the current Doonesbury arc on GoComics is about Duke and his kid Earl. Cool!
