Jimmy: Hi, Bill. Listen, I want to do a benefit concert next week. Can you announce it for me? Yeah, I'll hold... Zonker: Don't yet, Joanie. Jim's on the phone now. I'll come over soon as I hear... um... wait a minute, hold on... Jimmy: Hello? Oh, great! Good work, Bill! 'Bye. It's sold out. Zonker: Look for a limo, kid!
Nowadays, with internet ticket sales, this (or something darned close to it) actually happens, and scumbuckets like TicketB*****d will buy them all up and sell them for 5 times face value. That is why I was unable to go to Leonard Cohen’s last concert: licensed thieves were selling all tickets (including ones with a $50 face value) for $250 .
