Jimmy Carter: I'm sorry, Duane. A recess is out of the question! I've never taken a recess in my life! Duane: You don't have to call it a "recess," sir. Congress doesn't. Tip O'Neill changed it to "district work session". Carter: "District Work Session"? Duane: Yes, sir. Carter: Okay, I can live with that. Duane: See, that way, you could even work if you wanted.
