Joanie: Hey, did you get hold of Duane, Rick? Can he come tomorrow? Rick: I'm not sure. I couldn't understand him. Joanie: What do you mean? Rick: He kept speaking Californian to me. I think he's been studying it! Joanie: That's right, he has! Sheila told me he's taking correspondence courses from the California Institute for the Mellow! Rick: Well, he's very proficient. I couldn't make out a word he said. Joanie: Oh, c'mon, Richard, you go out to California all the time! Rick: Yeah, but I always end up having to point at the menus.
