Duane: And on Sunday you're scheduled to appear at the save-the-whales benefit fish fry. You'll be arriving on a ten-speed, okay? And I think the media picture is brightening, too, Governor. One by one we've gotten the east coast columnists to make the pilgrimmage out here and pronounce you non-flaky. Jerry Brown: As well they should. I no longer fit my own caricature. I've clearly evolved into someone to be taken seriously. Duane: That's certainly what they're saying in New Hampshire. Brown: Right. By the way, I understand they've got a big VFO vote in New Hampshire. I want you to check that out. Duane: No problem. I'll put an exploratory committee right on it. Brown: Also, let's plan on another swing through the state next week. We've got to turn this Kennedy thing around before it gets out of hand. Duane: Good thinking, sir. New Hampshire deserves another look at the new Jerry Brown. Brown: Wait a minute! I've got a better idea! Duane: What's that, Governor? Brown: Let's go to Japan instead! Want to go to Japan? Duane: Focus, Governor! You've got to learn to focus!
