John Anderson: Well, I guess we better get started. Mike: Mr. Anderson, I'd like to apologize for the poor turnout tonight. Monday nights are always bad here. Also, there's a big basketball game with Columbia tonight. Everybody, but everybody, goes to the Columbia game. It's considered pretty de rigueur. So, really, it's no reflection on your campaign. It's just a scheduling conflict. The students all bought tickets to the game months ago, so what could they do? Anderson: I see. Well, thank you for explaining. Mike: Also, we're in the middle of an Annette Funicello film festival. It's just bad timing.
