Rick: Duane Delacourt, please. Oh.. well could you have him call me back when the surf is down? Hi, Duane. It's Rick. Voice: What's happening, buddy? Rick: Well, I'm just finishing off my Sunday piece of your boss, and I was wondering if you had any last minute comment on his primary chances. Voice: His chances? We still think they're excellent, Rick. All Jerry has to do is run on his record, and he's home-free for sure! Rick: His record? Which record is that, Duane? Voice: His record as the most effective governor in California history. Rick: C'mon, Duane, how could he be effective? He hasn't even been in California for months! Voice: So what? He doesn't need to be! In fact, we find we get a helluva lot more work done when he's out of our hair! Rick: I rest my case. Voice: I mean, with his inspiration, of course.
