Television: And here comes the judges' scores for Fratianne! 98, 99, 97, 99... And from the Soviet judge... 32! ... Man: And the International Olympic Committee simply cannot allow the Games to degenerate into an expression of nationalism and political rancor! Voice: But Lord Killanin, haven't they always been just that? One thinks in particular of the 1936 Games in Munich... Man: The 1936 Games? How are they relevant? During the entire summer of 1936, did Germany invade so much as one of its neighbors? Of course not! That's the whole point of the Olympics - they allow countries to work out their differences on the playing field! Do you think it was a coincidence that Poland was invaded during a non-Olympic year? Besides, if the free world is really serious about humiliating the Soviet Union, we should be sending our kids over to Moscow to compete with the Russians and beat their jockstraps off! Voice: And keep politics out of it altogether? Man: Absolutely! Let the team point totals tell the story!
