Phil Donahue: Homosexual incest: is it acceptable now? This is Phil Donahue... and we need to know how you feel about this terribly important issue. I need your help. I can't do this alone. This is Phil Donahue in Chicago, and we're talking with Zeke Brenner, the young author of the recently published "Duke: Portrait of a Mentor." Mr. Brenner, you'll forgive us for asking, but aren't we to be excused for wondering if a book like this isn't a bit self-indulgent? Zeke: You're one to talk, man. At least I don't write a 250-page Valentine to myself and have my whole staff co-sign it. And at least I don't try to ennoble my failings by coyly "agonizing" over them in print. Donahue: I thank you for your candor. I appreciate your sharing with us your reaction to my bestseller. How many here in the studio audience agree with Zeke? Just applaud if you do. Okay, how many loved my book and found it full of growthfulness? Be honest, now. Zeke: Growthfulness? Audience: Clap! Clap! Clap! Clap! Clap! Clap! Donahue: Help me out, help me out!
