Mark: I'm chatting here with team captain and star quarterback B.D. Tell me, B.D, how's the ol' team shapin' up? B.D: Good, Mark. We got some kinda ball club this year. The guys came to play football. 'Course, we're gonna be playing a little short-handed this season. A lot of the guys are taking time off to work for Reagan, to help make the Gipper number one. This country needs a new Commander-In-Chief, but it's going to take teamwork as well as individual effort to get Reagan on the scoreboard. I myself am publicly urging all my fans to go to bat for him. Mark: But isn't that mixing sports with politics? B.D: Well, maybe. But I'm willing to go the distance, even if it means taking it on the chin.
