It would seem there was no task or order so odious or shameful that you considered refusing to carry it out. Tell me, General Haig, in the absence of outright criminality, do you think gross immorality is sufficient grounds for blocking confirmation? Alexander Haig: Negative, sucker. You need a smoking pistol and you know it. Senator: Right you are. Where are those handguns when we really need them?
