Ed: Yes, sir, but the $825,000 donated by your friends, most of whom are in the 50% tax bracket, was tax-deductible...so instead of saving the government $50,000, your redecorating is actually costing the treasury more than $300,000 in lost revenues. Ronald: Gosh...how ironic! Ed: Well, the important thing is America can be proud of your living quarters again, sir.
