He says blacks have to win the right against racism before we start worrying about sexism. Ellie: But you guys already got an amendment to protect you! Women don't! Jeanie: I know. But Daddy says I have to be a black first and a woman second. Ellie: So you can't drop out? Jeanie: On the contrary. I'm getting bused.
How ‘bout just being a person, and individual? Why perpetuate racism and sexism by identifying oneself by race or sex?
