Mark: Time for another one of WBBY's parenting tips..."Parenting tip #43: never punish a child while he has his mouth full." It's time again for a "Profile on parade," campers, and who better to kick off the holiday talk season than mellowmeister Dan Asher! Dr. Dan's out with another parenting how-to and this one's a must-read! It's called, "The mellow single parent." Welcome, Dan. Dan: Thanks, Mark. Mark: So what's the inspiration behind your latest, Dan? Dan: Quite frankly, Mark, the divorce rate. There's a growing number of mellow single parents, and they need to help! Divorces are rough, so I've tried to offer advice on how to beat the guilt rap, how to explain to the kid that you and your ex just needed to find your own space. I also lay out some tips on how to win custody, how to keep support payments down if you lose, and how to compete successfully for your child's affections. Mark: Sounds grim, anything on actually caring for the child? Dan: Sure, and it doesn't have to be a hassle. Get whoever you're dating to pitch in!
