Person: ...And the latest reports on the freedom fighters have come in, sir. Ronald Reagan: Oh, good. Let's hear them. Person: According to one partisan human rights group. Many Nicaraguan rebels now engage in the "deliberate use of terror." Two other studies confirm that the contras have raped and murdered civilians. They've also tortured and executed prisoners. In one town, the contras attacked a wedding party returning from church, killing six people, including the bride. Ronald Reagan: Gosh...I just can't get over how much they remind me of our own founding fathers. Person: Yes, sir. It's uncanny.
