Lacey: Yes, I've decided to resign-as a matter of honor over my small but decisive role in bringing on the S&L crisis! Man: What? Lacey: As a ranking member of the banking committee, I should have known better. I should have seen that deregulation would turn our banks into casinos. For my carelessness-and the crisis that resulted-I must accept full responsibility! Now, I know what you're all thinking... Man: I think I just lost my job. Person: I don't believe this! Person 2: Great, we're being canned. Lacey: You're thinking, "Poor Lacey"... Joanie: I better get a resume out... Person 3: I wonder if I can get Joanie's job... Person 4: I'll be okay, the others are dead meat!
