Student: (He's looking at my transcript...so how you like them apples, Pops?) Admissions director: So how long have you wanted to go to law school, son? Student: Gosh, for as long as I can remember, sir! Admissions director: Looks like you've had straight A's for about that long, too... Student: Well, yes, I guess I have, sir. Admissions director: Pity. Everybody who walks in here has straight A's these days...Personally, I like to see the occasional "C". With grade inflation out of control, it adds credibility to a transcript. Student: It does? Admissions Director: Yup. Sorry. Student: But...but it's not my fault! I didn't deserve all those "A's"! Admissions Director: Of course you didn't. But what can I do?
