Robert “Bob” Packwood, Republican Senator from Oregon. Beginning in 1992 had allegations of sexual misconduct (assault, but it wasn’t called that then) by 10 female staff members. Got caught editing his diary when it was subpoenaed, removing entries that referred to the incidents. The Ethics Committee unanimously voted to have a motion to expel him sent to the floor. He resigned before that happened.
