Bernie: Yes? Who's there? Mike: Berne, it's me - Mike! Bernie: I'll be right back, Mike - I think I hear the phone. Mike: I dunno, Bern - I just feel like I'm not getting any respect from my peers. Bernie: Hold that thought, okay, Mike? Mike: See? There's a good example! I'm talking to you, but you stop to talk to someone else! Bernie: Relax, I've got caller I.D. and I don't want to talk to this person. Mike: Sure, but if it had been someone more important... Bernie: I'm sorry, Mike. I do have to take this call. Hello? Caller: Hey, Bern! Don't you get your messages? I've called four times! Bernie: Could you hang on? I've got a call on call-waiting. Caller: But I called you first! You don't even know who's interrupting us! Bernie: Be right back. Hello? Doorbell: ding-dong! Mike: Yeah, it's me. Bernie: Could you hold, Mike? There's someone at the door.
