Mark: Coming up, a kid with a message... always welcome on this demographically challenged show! We're back! Joining us with a commentary tonight is our station inern, Sean McFillip! Go for it, Sean! Sean McFillip: Thanks man. "So what's up with stripping the Olympic gold from Ross Rebagliati just for sparkin' up with his fellow dude-athletes? I am like so not down with that! Our boy shredded! He's way worthy, man! Who cares if he hangs with stoners? I say give him back the medal and get on with the rest of the games!" Mark: Um...strong message, Sean. But a tad untimely. Rebagliati already has his medal back, and the games ended a month ago. Sean: A month ago? Mark: Yup. Sean: Whoa... Mark: I can imagine. Like a lift home?
Ross is the reason marijuana is officially banned from the Olympics. He one a gold in 98, tested positive, and was banned from competition. On appeal he was reinstated since marijuana WASN’T on the list of banned drugs at the time. The Olympic committee added it to the banned substance list 2 months later.
