Female Student: Hey... who is this guy? Make Student: I think he's the president. Female student: Of what? President King: So how would I describe the performance of the class of '98? In a word, appalling. In the main, you arrived poorly prepared, undisciplined and incurious. Once here, you treated your teachers with incivility and your schoolwork as an inconvenience. Your only goals were credentialing and a good time! So are we as educators demoralized? Not at all. Here at Walden, we pride ourselves in our ability to accomodate declining standards! In a changing world, this college strives to be nimble and adaptable. You, the consumer, told us you wanted less for your college dollar, and we listened to you! For instance, this year we scheduled commencement for 2:00 instead of the traditional 11:00! Why? So it wouldn't conflict with the Jerry Springer show. Student: I wondered about that... Student: I'm going to miss this place, man.
