Alex: Geraldo...Geraldo... What else is on? My gosh...he's everywhere! Geraldo Rivera (on television): Serial infidelity - is it so bad? More about me when we return! Mike: Ah, the new Geraldo... You know, Alex, I kind of envy you. I've had to endure Geraldo's self-aggrandizement and sleaziness my whole adult life...but you, by the time you're grown, will know a different world, a Geraldo-free world! You'll enjoy an improved quality of life my generation could only dream of! Alex: Not necessarily, poppa. There's probably some kid somewhere who, even as we speak, is mooning his teacher or stuffing his gerbil in a microwave! And he could grow up to be my generation's Geraldo! Wow...that's a depressing thought... You don't supposed his father keeps a microphone in the house? Mike: Well, maybe, but I'm sure it has a safety lock.
And now Alex is an adult with kids, and Geraldo is still around. Not that he is the pinnacle of trash TV today.
