Jeremy Cavendish: Hey-ho, barkeep! Bartender: Uh-oh. Jeremy Cavendish: Remember me from our last reunion? Bartender: How could I possibly forget, sir? Jeremy Cavendish: How I love reunions - the memories, the name tags, the goody bags! Know what I mean, barkeep? Bartender: Yes, sir. Jeremy Cavendish: This one has a poignancy, though. It's our first without the graceful presence of our schoolmate Lacey Davenport. You've heard of her, have you not? The congresswoman from California? We were the best of friends. Bartender: Is that right, sir? Jeremy Cavendish: Actually, we were more than that - we were an item! Bartender: Pretty ungallant claim to make, sir. Jeremy Cavendish: Um, what do you mean, barkeep? Bartender: Well, the lady's not here to defend herself, is she? Jeremy Cavendish: But there were witnesses! Doormen! Maitre D's! Everyone was abuzz! Bartender: Sure they were. Let's call it a night, old-timer.
