George W. Bush: Against torture? That's nuts! What's wrong with McCain? Mark: Good evening and welcome to another edition of "defining moments in torture"! So how can an American president actually favor "cruel, inhuman and degrading" treatment of prisoners? The answer may lie in a long-forgotten incident of this Ivy league campus.... Person: Aaiiee! George W. Bush: "Insignificant! There's no scarring Mark physically or mentally!" Mark: The rest is history. This has been "defining moments in torture"! George: Human pyramids? Hell, I did those as a cheerleader! Fall, 1967. Yale students report hearing screams coming from DKE house. The student paper breaks the story: DKE has been branding their pledges on their backsides with red-hot coat hangers. DKE president George W. Bush defends the branding ritual in statements to the press.
