Mark: Um...a little re-framing, please. Great. Thanks. Hi, folks! You know, some years back, this feautre was a little rough on the first president Bush. We thought him ineffectual and out of touch, a caretaker president with no vision for the country. But what we overlooked at the time were his fine qualities, which we now see had had in abundance! To begin with, he didn't torture people. But he was also moderate, informed, prudent, responsible, forgiving and modest...everything, in fact, his son is not...for which the nation has paid a terrible price! George Bush: Not my fault! We were grooming Jeb! Mark: Oh, we know that, sir. No one's blaming you. Say, could we offer you a new icon? On the house?
Message from 2019, here. Don’t let the current president make you nostalgic for the past. Stand by what you said. As hard as it is to believe, the current president makes people think that Dubya wasn’t so bad.
