So, I always wondered why somebody made a comment that just read the strip to us - “…so in the first panel, Jeff wishes Melissa luck on her mission, and she says ‘thanks’….” But, now I see that some of you don’t even seem to read the strip.

talk about lonely. blessedly unaware of his ineptitude, clueless, this fool, this legend in his own mind, is about to enter a reality unlike the one in the movies.

babka - Are you talking about Jeff, or one of the previous commenters?

I think ed-in-toledo has your answer.

(“Caption Obvious”. That’s pretty good, but I don’t think the Captain gets it.)

I’m surprised the nurses at the home haven’t yet realized he’s off his meds.

My grandfather used to read the comics to me and explain the things I didn’t understand. He stopped doing that when I was about 4 and didn’t need it any more. He was a perceptive man.

Oh, lay off Joe Allen, y’all. He does run on a lot, but it doesn’t really irritate me that much. Sometimes it’s even interesting. I have to admit I don’t always understand how what he says relates to the comic strip and he’s often obvious, but he’s not unbearable if you yourself are grown-up enough to take it. And, Hipster, you should be ashamed of yourself, talking about a sharpshooter. That’s no way to resolve an irritation. I get a little tired of you always saying. “Ya know?” and “Ya heard me?”, but I’m not going to get all snarky and shoot you about it. I’ve gone through puberty. So take a deep breath and laugh at the funnies, everybody.

this is all very boring… ok, you like to snipe at each other - you are each allowed to say it ONCE, and then no more!!
