Caller: So, Mark, what'd you make of Obama's Nobel speech? Mark: Don't get me started, caller. Caller: Okay. Mark: It's the Nobel Peace Prize, right? So what does Obama do? He goes to Oslo and makes a full-throated case for war! It was an unmitigated embarrassment! Aid: Sir? We're losing NPR. Obama: Really? Even "Car Talk"?

As far as losing NPR, I think he lost them quite awhile ago. Has anyone noticed that most reporters/commentators refer to him as Mr. Obama rather than President Obama?
On Talk of the Nation Tuesday, the NPR ombudsman was on and this question was addressed. The style at NPR has always been that the 1st reference is “President Whoever” and subsequent references are “Mr. Whoever.” The NPR ombudsman’s link has clips to the Poppy Bush administration– http://www.npr.org/ombudsman/2009/12/whydo_youcallhimmr_obama.html
