It never occurred to him that the tapes would be used against him. So, Yes, he was arrogant, he only saw himself as he saw himself, not s others would. His plan was to sanitize the tapes, and that’s what he started doing, making erasures, with the help of that ‘hoe of a secretary of his. I never understood why she also didn’t go to jail. Chivalry, we don’t send broads to jail. Sexism in reverse!
