Cornell: Zonker, what do you need a tanning clinic for, anyway? Can't you bag the benies here at home? Zonker: It's just not the same as a clinic, Cornell... Cornell: But why not? I caught rays in my own backyard today, and look at my tan already! Zonker: Cornell, I hate to disillusion you, but that's not a tan you've got. It's what cosmetologists call IDP, Instant Darkening Phenomenon. It's nothing more than oxidation of pigment in dead skin cells. It reverses quickly, and means little in serious tanning circles. Cornell: Well, excuusse me! Zonker: I'm sorry, man. That was uncalled for.
It might be interesting for Garry to show in the current strips the long-term consequences to Zonk’s early tanning habit.
