Joanie: Enter "Family finances, spreadsheet." Rick: Whoa... I see what you mean. Day car is taking a big bite. Joanie: Actually, the costs are the least of it. We're just not seeing this kid! Most days I don't pick him up until six! Rick: It's not always that bad. I've gotten him at four. Joanie: Rick, you almost never get him! Nine times out of ten, I"m the one who has to rush home. Rick: I doubt it's that often. Besides, who's keeping score? Joanie: Enter "Parenting, Fourth Quarter." Rick: Uh-oh...

So how is this discussion going to solve their mutual problem at all? The child care that is inadequate costs too much, they don’t see the child at all, but neither of them have time to spend with him anyway. Since I wasn’t reading the ‘toon at this point, I’m curious about how the problem will be solved. A nanny?

Wise up, Rick. She’s already left one husband with two kids because he was next to useless.

Liverlips…. or anybody…
did Joanie have another child with Clinton besides JJ?
Is there something I’m forgetting?
Thuja… Zonker was the nanny for BD and Boopsie’s daughter.

We’ve never seen Joanie’s other kids, but heard them off-panel…and I don’t believe they have ever been mentioned again.

I know just how Joanie feels. I put a sign on the refridgerator:“Housework does not equal kidwork.”

It’s a Mac. Not a Commodore. Not an Apple II. There’s a Mac and an Apple II four feet from me right now.

It seems to be a composite, the side profile is that of a Lisa or Mac XL, but the width of the back is more like the early Mac. The later iMac line was a return to the all-in-one design of the original Mac and Lisa.

Funny to hear the “stay home & bake cookies” remark that got Hillary in such a firestorm back in the 90’s played again today on NPR. Apparently it started a cookie competition between first ladies, but if Hillary wins the election, it will be quite different this year.

Didn’t the Apple Lisa look like that? Early eighties as I recall.
