Red stripes were not added to Uncle Sam’s hat until after the famous ‘I Want You’ poster. The original hat is all white and blue. Some say that the red stripes are a result of the Mandela effect. Or perhaps later artists simply felt that the hat was too plain and needed something more.

I’ll bet Bush was sending plenty of aid, but Duke was probably redirecting the money to the Cayman Islands.
