I was going to say, more “primitive” and “less mature” might not be the right words. “Older and more considerate” might be more accurate.
I’ve lived in countries where the multigenerational home is the norm and the elderly are cared for by family – as opposed to our enlightened western ways where households are very “single” (so to speak) and we ship our elders out to places where they can conveniently die amongst strangers…
