I do this to my roommate’s cat all the time, especially when he’s contemplating doing something he knows he’s not supposed to do, like climbing the tree or window screens. He’s a perverse little (insert string of explicatives), so he deserves it. In the year that he’s been around, my hands have yet to heal from all the scratches and teeth marks he inflicts when he wants to signal “that’s enough petting” rather than walking away.

There is a very fine line between ‘hobby’ and ’mental illness. Ralph is very close to that line.

I, too, thought scaring cats WAS his hobby. Coal this year, I say!
The comments about a shrink and mental illness made me laugh, though.
