Sorry, Ralph, but many adults like myself have worn costumes on Halloween. Not for trick or treating, just to stick to traditions.

Ralph is just looking for an excuse not to share his candy.

Halloween isn’t just for kids, but trick-or-treat should be. Us adults should be throwing parties where we eat the munchies instead of giving them out to strangers….FWIW, where I live, we’re having a 6-hour block party in the middle of town where all the local restaurants will be selling great food at cheap prices. Yum!

I’ll be dressing up just to pass out treats to kids (who no longer have creative costumes- just store-bought). I’ll be glad when I sell here and move to the community where I can attend a Halloween party with friends (most of mine are across town now).

There’s been a problem with high school kids trick-or-treating in my area for many years now. People should have a peephole in their door, and not open it to people who are significantly over 5 feet tall. You never know when it might be an attempt at home invasion. Anyway, teenagers who trick-or-treat (or commit vandalism on Halloween) should be ashamed of themselves.

Ralph reminds me that when the guy at the support center asks me if I can confirm my phone number or address, he’s not just checking their records.

It’s just a piece of candy! How cheap can you get? I do like where I live, though. I had my house built 37 years ago and I haven’t seen the first trick or treater yet! I do have some neighbors within a half mile, but not many. And I don’t know any of them and that’s how I like it!
