You know what I never see these days? Those cloth towels that are on a loop in a towel-drying machine. I guess they discovered they weren’t sanitary enough. But those eliminated the need for endless paper products and didn’t use electricity (it was mechanical) to move the towel through the machine.
A pet peeve – the sink on one side of the room and the paper towels on the other. You have to drip water all over the floor to dry your hands. When there are no paper towels, I always say ‘that is what pants are for’.

They took it out after they found that the electric bill exceeded the cost of the towels. (Sorta like electric cars)
