I just leave mine on the porch now the local wildlife take care of them.
About 10 years ago I came home to my pumpkin obliterated on the porch I was angry and thought it was some neighborhood kids no it was a group of hungry squirrels my neighbor told me lol .
I liked the one that looked like Andy Rooney, then Rooney died the same week the strip ran and they quickly changed the caption to say it looked like Mickey Rourke.
Kids our there are too lazy to walk down my side of the street, now, so, I don’t get a pumpkin, anymore. But, the last time I did, I kept getting distracted, and forgot to pick it up, and it rotted, so I pushed it over the side of the stairs. The next year, one grew right where the old one landed. Instant solution. :)

First it gets thrown in the trash, then Norman dumps garbage on it.
That poor jack-o-lantern can’t catch a break.

Shame on you! Pumpkins don’t belong in a trash can.

He’s no Jack-in-the-box, but he is a Jack-in-the-can.

They have a nicer jack-o-lantern this year than last year.
