Twice in my life my back has reduced me to crawling around on the floor. The second time was last year and my wife drove me to Urgent Care. I got to see a real Doctor, not a Family Practitioner!
I try hard not to be a kvetch about my various aches and pains. Most people who ask, “How are you doing?” don’t really want to know the answer, they’re just being polite; which is something in and of itself.
Speaking of back pain: a person of certain age, if they don’t do back strengthening exercises, should wear that special belt that weight lifters wear, to do chores at home.
The best exercise I found for me is rowing, since it keeps by back aligned and it keeps the legs strong also. I’ve never had back problems. Using that machine automatically forces you to tighten your stomach muscles which keep your back aligned.
ugh this is my mother in law! Everything is a competition and it’s always harder/worse for her. I may’ve been born with severe stenosis, had 2 bad car accidents and numerous surgeries/procedures on my back but hers hurts at least twice as bad lol I’ve so far resisted pointing out that it might help her back if she didn’t appear to be 9 months pregnant

It wouldn’t be so bad if they would just WORK OUT! Or, at least learn to stretch out in the morning

I’m not sure what the problem is, but Gramma had a hunch. Maybe I can get a job ringing bells at Notre Dame.

And I thought he was mocking Ralph’s response, which he is prone to do.

Steindolt is a liar. If he can stand up straight, his back isn’t that bad.
