    It’s actually a fine horror/comedy. I love it!

Haven’t seen this particular movie but I love silly horror movies! Favorite classic is “The Ghost and Mr. Chicken.”

That was the best Abbott and Costello movie and it was a little scary. And old black-and-white movies can be wonderful. Great acting and writing.

I saw that one many years ago at grade school. I was rolling on the floor laughing when they realized the invisible man was in their boat at the end.

With the exception that Patrick used- How can any Abbott & Costello movie be scary?

Great movie… along with Meet the Mummy. Showed them, along with Son of Godzilla for my son’s sleepover when he was 10. the kids asked for them every time they came over… had a blast!

I knew a lady once who absolutely refused to watch black-and-white films or tv shows. When I think of all the good stuff she missed. . .

My ex-wife loved A&C. One of our local channels had one of their movies on every Sunday so I have seen all of their movies numerous times. They did a few scary-ish movies, but my very favorite of all of their movies was “The Time of Their Lives.”

Cool! I watched this two nights ago. One of my favorite films of all time. The horror is played straight and A&C are comical without being overly slapstick. Classic film.

I’ve always thought that A & C Meet Frankenstein was one of the best of all the Universal monster movies, and without a doubt the best of everything that came after the first 3 of the Frankenstein series. It’s also, in my opinion, just about the best Abbott and Costello movie too. Some think that A & C Meet Frankenstein is silly, but it has all the elements of a classic monster movie, and mostly done better than any of the others. Besides, it’s the only movie besides the original “Dracula” (from 1931) that Bela Lugosi actually played Dracula! And Lon Chaney Jr. really outdoes himself in it as the pathetic whiner Larry Talbot. When I was in elementary school, the period before Halloween was the only time that the movie was broadcast, and it was always a challenge to find it on TV (seemingly always in the afternoon, and my parents wouldn’t get TV Guide). But getting to see it was always very rewarding, and it still is almost 60 years later!

A&C Meets Frankenstein is a classic. And B&W movies are the best. At least they’re not 90% special effects, like todays movies are.

I wanna drop-kick the kid. I’m a millennial and I love the old black-and-white movies. Never mind the cultural differences of then and now, the comedy was just more on point and did it in a way without stooping to the lowest common denominator.
