As long as you’re getting rid of the donut tie, I’ll take it. Also Wally would be so disappointed if you tossed the wiener dog tie. I bet she wouldn’t toss an Oogie tie now, would she?

My husband has quite a lot of nice ties, but he doesn’t wear them anymore. But I don’t want to throw them away just yet. Maybe I should do the same as honeybunch and make two piles of them, the nice ones and the outdated ones.

I have so many ties, going back to one my Grandma knitted for me. I remember being taught how to tie a basic 4-in-hand knot. I didn’t receive my promised graduation tie from the RCH in Melbourne (Oz), and I’m still waiting, but have lost hope—it’s been a while now 1973 . Anyway, I am old, and usually only wear a tie to funerals, of which there seem to be many nowadays.

And all of those ugly ties were gifts by the kids for birthdays and Christmas.

The only time I wore a tie was in the Marines. Haven’t worn one since.

Ah, c’mon, Honeybunch, if Ralph likes his ties, leave him be. If his wearing them embarrasses you, take a deep breath and exhale slowly. Then pretend they were gifts from his old friend, Andy Warhol.

I like to see fun ties on guys. My husband has never worn a tie in his life. (Other than the ones with his Navy uniforms or bolos)

My husband had a lot of ties from when he worked. It was hard to get rid of some. One was a tie with photos of our cats. He was a musician (banjo & guitar) on the Delta Queen Steamboat & a few of them were Delta Queen ties. One was a silk tie I got for my Father on a trip to China, that my Mom gave to my husband after my Dad passed away. When he retired from the steamboat & we moved to Central Florida- Disney country- he worked part-time for Disney got a few Disney ties. Then there were the ties for various holidays. It took a bit & several times to narrow them down to the very few- like he cat tie- that I kept.

You’d think she could find better things to do with her time. My wife knows to stay out of my things, and I respect her with her own things.
