I thought this was supposed to be an athletic event. The ink and verbiage are being wasted on one player’s ego rant. Just like the Olympics – something has gone terribly wrong.
Hey, he was just hyped up from the game. Now that he’s come down from it, he realizes he acted like a spoiled child. What exactly is it that “hypes up” our athletes, that makes it so they can’t resist? Could it have something to do with the pre-game meal?
And as for the fact that “he’s smart; he went to Stanford”….GWB went to Yale. Students go to those schools because they’re smart. Athletes and the progeny of the privileged go to those schools because there was money or prestige (or both) on the line. Big difference.

And Bowman’s play at the goal line, holding onto the ball while his knee is being twisted like a chicken wing, should have been the play of the game.
