Police 1: How cool is this? Chicago hosting the NFL draft! Police 2: Great: As if our crime rate isn't bad enough already.
In Chicago the cops are the criminals. I was in the service with a real nice kid from Chicago, I looked him up a few years after we got out of the service. He was a Chicago cop and while we were out drinking he tried to run down a homeless man on the street, he would have hit the guy but he was able to get behind a column holding up the elevated train. I’ve never seen such a dramatic personality change before or since. I never looked him up again.
