Curious that the thingamabob gets tightened by turning the doohicky to the left, given that a turn to the left would loosen most doohickies. Perhaps the doohicky has to be loosened before the thingamajig can be lowered? Or maybe the doohicky is something that typically gets turned to the left (think bicycle pedal or toilet handle), so it has reverse threading to prevent being loosened through normal use?
If that doesn’t work pack it in relative Bearing Grease, Wrap it in about five feet of chow Line andgo up on deck and watch out for the Mail Buoy. Tie it on with Some more Chow line address it to the working party and when we pass back this way, it should be tied on and have been fixed .Keep an eye out for the Mail buoy!….
