I can say with confidence that I will never regret not going to any class reunions. Why I was the only one of my whole class who was not a total loser is beyond me.
I think you should avoid all reunions. If you survived anything worth a reunion it is better to just move on and let the memory of the people and place remain stuck in time in your mind. Seeing them again with all the changes time brings is shocking, and to be honest they will be looking at you equally shocked.
I have not gone to any of the many reunions I’ve been invited to. Primarily because I want to remember my friends as they were not as they are. However there is one reunion I am looking forward too and that’s the 60th anniversary of the opening of Mary Gardner School in September 2022. Back in 1962 I was the first student to walk through the doors of the brand new school. Although most of the teachers and administration from that first year are probably no longer with us I understand that my third grade teacher Miss Currie (in her mid 80s now) is still alive and that she will probably attend. I had a big crush on her and it will be nice to see her again.

More likely for a not returned library book.

Get busy on it now and you’ll have it ready to turn in at the reunion.

Thank you for saying “invitation” rather than using “invite” as a noun.

Read further Eno. It’s actually a request that you don’t attend.

Or those grade school bullies are longing for the good ol’ days when they were feared for their atomic wedgies!
