Actually, if that IS an option, that does suggest you guys don’t actually NEED to work the extra hours to get by, you just want to keep the extra luxuries the added money brings with…in which case, not for the first time, I question your priorities on that front.
Which I don’t enjoy doing all that much, honestly. I do like this family, fictional though they are. :)

He’s semi-retired now, but my husband was self employed. What that meant is, if we wanted health insurance, I had to have a full-time job.
