Mom’s do a lot of this kind of thing!
Maybe she ought to plan ahead and try to keep her Saturdays (or any other day she chooses really) mostly free in advance. That way, they can justify doing this more of the time, and it won’t be as much of a hassle to clear the schedule.
Hopefully you will have more time to prepare for the next time.
